Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

• Account data: email, password (stored only as a one-way hash), first and last name, phone number (we ask for it when you register with an email). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from them (with Apple, possibly a relay address if you chose to hide your email), and you do not need a separate RelocApp password.
• Profile data you choose to add: nickname, bio, avatar photo, gender, city, profession, education, work experience and skills, and an optional public email.
• Specialists' work contacts, if you add them: work phone, email, WhatsApp, Telegram and website.
• Content you publish: posts (text, photo, the place you name, and the place, event or service you mention), comments, ratings and reviews.
• Usage data: favorites, interests, collections, subscriptions, city and language preferences.
• Your community choices: the authors you marked “Interested” or “Not interested” (to order your feed) and the people you blocked.
• View statistics: which profiles, posts, listings and organization pages you open, and when your profile appears in search (see Section 4).
• Moderation records: decisions on your posts and their reasons, and the number of rule violations.
• Booking data: the date, time, party size, notes and contact phone number you give when you request a booking.
• Device information: OS type and app version (for fixing bugs), and the push notification token — only if you enable notifications.
• Location: used only to calculate distances and to show what is near you. It is sent with the request and is never stored on our servers.
• Technical data: your IP address, used to protect the service from abuse (for example, to limit repeated sign-in attempts); it may appear in our hosting provider's technical logs, which are kept for a limited time.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve RelocApp
• To show you relevant places, events and services in your city
• To publish your posts, comments and reviews
• To check posts against our community rules before they are published
• To show organizations and specialists statistics about views of their pages
• To suggest people you may know
• To process your bookings and notify you of their status
• To send notifications (only if enabled)
• To respond to your support requests and keep the service safe from abuse

3. What Other Users Can See

• Your posts and comments are visible to all users; if your profile is private, your posts are shown only to your followers.
• Your ratings and reviews are shown with your first name and photo.
• Specialists' work contacts and your public email are visible to everyone who opens your profile — you can remove them at any time.
• Your profile may appear in "People you may know" suggestions.
• A post that is waiting for a moderator, or that a moderator closed, is visible only to you.
• If you block someone, neither of you sees the other’s posts and comments, they cannot comment on or like your posts or follow you, and your profile is not available to them. They are not told.

4. View Statistics

When you open a profile, a post, a listing or an organization's page, we record that view (views of your own pages are not counted). The owner of an organization can see who opened its page — name, photo, profession and number of visits. If you turn off "Analytics" in Profile → Settings → Privacy, or your profile is private, you are counted only in totals and never named. All other statistics are shown in aggregate, and audience breakdowns stay hidden until there are enough viewers that no single person can be recognized. View records that can identify you are kept for up to 12 months and are deleted or made anonymous together with your account.

5. Notifications

With your permission, RelocApp sends:

• Alerts when someone likes or comments on your post, or likes or replies to your comment
• Reminders about an event, if you asked for them
• A notice when a moderator publishes or closes your post
• Booking requests (for organization owners) and booking status updates (for users)
• Announcements from the RelocApp team

You can turn notifications off at any time in Profile → Settings → Notifications, and we stop sending them at once. Your push token is deleted from our servers when you log out or delete your account.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data and do not share it with advertisers. We share data only as needed to run the service:

• The organization you book with: your name, contact phone and booking details
• Our service providers listed in Section 11 (hosting, database, photo storage, notifications, email, crash reports, analytics, app updates)
• Legal requirements: when required by law or to protect the safety of our users

Addresses and map points of places, events and services — never users' own addresses or location — are sent to OpenStreetMap Nominatim to match an address with a point on the map.

7. Data Security and Retention

All communication with our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes. Only authorized staff have access to the admin panel.

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, posts, comments, reviews, favorites, subscriptions, bookings, notifications, view statistics, moderation records, your feed choices and the list of people you blocked. While your account exists, bookings are kept as your booking history.

Sign-in is protected in the app and on the website alike: after several wrong passwords in a row, sign-in to the account is locked for a while. A password reset with the code from your email lifts the lock, and all earlier sessions on other devices end within 15 minutes.

8. Cookies and Data in Your Browser

The website myrelocapp.com uses:

• Sign-in cookies, which are strictly necessary: two cookies keep you signed in — a short one (up to 20 minutes) and a renewal cookie (up to 30 days from your last visit, or until you log out). Page scripts cannot read them, they are sent only over an encrypted connection and only to our website and its servers, and we do not use them for advertising or tracking. Signing in to the website is impossible without them, so no separate consent is requested for them. "Log out" deletes them.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): only if you accept them; you can change your choice in "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the site.
• Visit statistics without cookies (Cloudflare Web Analytics): page views, page load speed, the site you came from, your country and type of browser — counted without cookies or any identifier stored in your browser, so you cannot be recognised from one visit to the next and no consent is requested.
• Browser storage: your settings (such as city, currency and your cookie choice) and, while you are signed in, your lists of favorites and subscriptions, so that the site works faster. This data stays in your browser only; when you log out, favorites and subscriptions are removed from it.

9. Your Rights

• Update your profile in the app or on the website (Profile)
• Delete your account, or only your data while keeping the account, in the app (Profile → Settings → Login & Security)
• Make your profile private
• Turn off "Analytics" so that organizations don't see you by name
• Turn off notifications
• Ask us for a copy or deletion of your personal data at relocapp.support@gmail.com

10. Children's Privacy

RelocApp is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third-Party Services

RelocApp uses these services, each with its own privacy policy:

• Railway: hosting of our servers. Railway Privacy Policy

• Cloudinary: storage of the photos you upload (avatar, post photos, listing images). Cloudinary Privacy Policy
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) and Apple Push Notification service: delivery of notifications. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Gmail (Google): sending emails such as sign-in and password reset codes. Google Privacy Policy
• Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple: in the app and on the website; if you choose them, we receive your name and email. Their buttons on the website's sign-in page are loaded from Google and Apple, which receive technical data of the visit, such as your IP address.
• Google Analytics for Firebase: anonymous usage statistics in the app; on the website it uses analytics cookies only if you accept them; you can change your choice in "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the site.
• Cloudflare: our website's domain name service and visit statistics without cookies (Cloudflare Web Analytics); it receives technical data of the visit, such as the page address, the referring site, the browser and the IP address (used to tell the country, not stored by us). • Apple Maps, Google Maps and OpenStreetMap: maps, and matching addresses of places with points on the map. OSM Privacy Policy
• Open-Meteo: the current weather in a city; it receives only the city's coordinates, never your data.

12. Content Moderation and Anti-Abuse

Before a post is published, its text is checked automatically against lists of prohibited words and rules (for example, phone or bank card numbers, links and spam). A post can be refused without stating the exact reason, or sent to a moderator; until a moderator checks it, only you can see it. Moderators can publish or close a post and see its photo; when they close a post, we tell you the reason.

We also record the type, number and time of actions such as likes, comments, posts, ratings, reports, bookings and subscriptions, and the number of rule violations. When you report a post, a comment or a user, we keep the report (what was reported, the reason and who sent it) in order to review it. The user you reported is not told who reported them. Repeated violations can temporarily restrict posting or lead to the suspension of an account or an organization. If you believe a decision was a mistake, contact us using the details in Section 14.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will show the new date at the top. Continued use of RelocApp after changes means you accept the updated policy.
